BSV Association recently held a successful Demo Day on Capitol Hill in Washington DC, allowing US lawmakers to engage directly with the blockchain industry.
The occasion provided representatives from the blockchain industry with an exclusive platform to directly address policymakers at the highest echelons, delving into issues of utmost significance to both them and the broader public.
The Demo Day proved to be an enlightening encounter for participants from all perspectives, facilitating the identification of critical concerns and shared interests.
Hosted by the BSV Association, the BSV Blockchain Demo Day culminated from two years of extensive dialogues and collaborative efforts with legislators and their teams. The objective was to spotlight tangible uses of enterprise blockchain technology across pivotal industry domains such as agriculture, food safety, cybersecurity, and digital finance. Additionally, the event aimed to underscore critical themes like data integrity and privacy, digital identity, and market regulation.
Several BSV blockchain-based companies presented on the day including:
‘The interest from policymakers was palpable,’ said Bryan Daugherty, Public Affairs Director Americas. ‘(This was) reflected not only in the attendance, which surpassed expectations with over 80 attendees against 54 RSVPs but also in their keen inquiries about the strategic opportunities these technologies could unlock for the country and their constituents.’
