We are searching for a diligent and professional Compliance Manager & MLRO to join our dynamic compliance department who will have a unique opportunity to support the implementation of our European compliance framework under MiCA, the comprehensive regulatory framework for Crypto Asset Service Provider. You will play a pivotal role in the buildout of Banxa Europe compliance practices and will be responsible for advising, monitoring, and overseeing the compliance position of the entity.

You will work closely with the Head of Compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory obligations, supporting robust frameworks and governance across the organisation. You will proactively provide compliance advice to key stakeholders within the business, and proactively share your knowledge and experience with other departments and stakeholders as and when required.

What You’ll Do ๐Ÿ‘€

  • Develop, manage, refine and document the AML/CTF program and other supporting ancillary policies and processes for the entity
  • Support the development and implementation of the compliance framework to meet the European requirements and localise Banxa Group policies and processes
  • Create, review and/or update the policies, procedures and controls to incorporate changes in the local regulations, and ensure processes are aligned with global ones to deliver the intended outcome
  • Identify and oversee regulatory and conduct risks, design and implement proportionate and appropriate controls to mitigate these risks
  • Identify regulatory issues proactively and recommend remedies to promote compliance
  • Support the first line business functions in maintaining its compliance with the European AML/CTF laws and regulations
  • Assist in maintaining a sound Compliance culture through stakeholder engagement, including providing trainings to staff on core compliance and conduct topics

  • Proven experience of 2-4 years as a Compliance Officer or in a similar role within the a fast-paced FinTech model (online broker, exchanges, payment services or other financial institution)
  • Sound knowledge of the regulatory requirements (MiFID, MiCA, payment services, data protection, market abuse etc)
  • Proven involvement in regulatory change and business advisory, with strong business acumen and the ability to solve problems pragmatically
  • Experience with operational processes and developing end-to-end compliance risk management programs.
  • Strong analytical skills to support assessment of risk and appropriate course of action.
  • Organisational skills to prioritise risks and actions using a risk-based approach.
  • Mature interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members of all levels within the organisation, as well as outside vendors/contacts.
